Service Area 01
Walton County
JAT Specialties builds across Walton County, from the beach communities along 30A to the pine country north of the bay. We are a Walton County company ourselves, which means the crews on your job are not driving in from another market and clocking out the second the light fades.

Service Area 02
Santa Rosa Beach
Santa Rosa Beach and the 30A corridor are where we do much of our custom work, homes with deep porches, standing-seam metal roofs and the kind of finish detail that shows up in photographs. It is also the most demanding place in the county to build well.

Service Area 03
Freeport
Freeport is one of the fastest-growing parts of Walton County, and a lot of what we build there is what people move to Freeport for in the first place, a larger lot, a house laid out the way the family actually lives, and a shorter drive to the beach than the beach itself allows.

Service Area 04
Ponce de Leon
Ponce de Leon is home country for JAT Specialties. It is a small town, the lots are generous, and the work up here tends to be exactly the kind we like, a whole house from a bare site, built for a family who intends to stay in it.

Service Area 05
DeFuniak Springs
DeFuniak Springs is the county seat and the oldest built environment in Walton County, which makes it one of the more interesting places we work, new custom homes on one street, careful remodelling of century-old houses on the next.

What Makes Us Different
Not all builders are created equal.
-
We are ICF specialists, not dabblers
Plenty of builders will quote you an ICF house. Very few build them regularly. Insulated Concrete Form construction is what we are known for on this coast, a steel-reinforced concrete wall, insulated on both faces, that stands up to storms, stays quiet and cuts what you spend cooling it.
-
Engineering sits behind the build
Jeremy's background runs through civil engineering, construction administration, architectural project management, site supervision, site design and surveying. That is an unusual foundation for a homebuilder, and it shows up in how site, drainage and structural questions get answered, early, and properly.
-
You get the family, not a middleman
JAT is a family company. Jeremy started it in 2006, Mitchell joined in 2016 and Mason in 2023. When you hire us, the people who own the business are the people on your job, which is the whole reason our estimates hold and our punch lists actually get closed.
